Award winning, French-American Fine Artist, Noreen Coup paints contemporary oil and acrylic paintings, mostly with a palette knife to create vibrant and textured original works of art.
A graduate of Woodbury University with a Bachelors Degree in Interior Design, Noreen brings over 30 years of professional design experience to her works. She has held long-term positions with Walt Disney Imagineering, Universal Studios Creative, Marriott Vacations World Wide and The Ritz-Carlton Club. She retired in 2014 to pursue her art full-time.
While living in Paris in 2000, she was inspired by the "City Of Lights" to begin painting. She studied drawing at the WICE Academy in Paris. Upon her return to the US, she continues to evolve her art by taking workshops with notable artists including Timothy Horn, Larry Moore, Don Sondag Jr., Dreama Tolle-Perry, Leslie Saeta, Camile Przewodek, Peggy Kroll Roberts , Ray Roberts, Anne Blair Brown, Thomas Kitts and Frank Gardner, just to mention a few.
A native of California, Noreen lives in Winter Garden, Florida. She travels often to her family’s hometown, taking artists on a local’s view of Paris, The Loire Valley and the beautiful island of Ile de Re, known as the “Nantucket of France”, just off the coast of La Rochelle in the Charente-Maritime region of France.
She is a Member of McRae Art Studios of Winter Park, www.mcraeartstudios.com, moving to Orlando in the Spring of 2017, a Board Member and Instructor at the Winter Garden Art Association (WGAA) www.wgart.org and an instructor for Crealde School of Art, Winter Garden Campus, www.crealde.org.
