About McRae Art Studios

McRae Art Studios, in Winter Park, FL, currently has 21 artists who maintain individual businesses in art, yet work as a group. The artists of McRae have won numerous awards from the local to national level, and show and sell their work to an international audience.

McRae Art Studios has 21 years of history in the Central Florida area. Originally started in 1987 by George and Marty Whipple on McRae St. in Orlando, the warehouse has seen four locations and many artists through the years. We have been at our current location in Winter Park since 1998 and maintain the highest levels of work by bringing artists to the collective by a jury process.

The group dynamic brings many advantages to the individual artists including our 9000 square foot warehouse, our website, and many opportunities to promote and produce group shows. Twice a year in early spring and late autumn, we open our workspace to the public with generally 2000 people in attendance. As a collective, McRae has produced shows with Brevard Museum of Art, Orlando Museum of Art (First Thursday Show), Casselbery City Hall (Artists Program), Maitland Art Center, and Winter Park Public Library. We look forward to new venues to show our work as a group.

McRae Art Studios is a front door to the careers and businesses of 21 unique and individual artists. Our true light shines from the work each of us creates. We encourage you to contact us individually or as a group. Private showings of the studio are available by appointment.
