Donne Bitner graduated with honors from Penn State University with a degree in Fine Art. She has been a full-time studio artist for at least 15 years. She maintains a studio at McRae Art Studios in Winter Park. Donne is on instructor of watercolor and drawing at the Crealde School of Art. Recently she was an adjunct instructor at Brevard Community College and the Museum of Art and Science in Brevard. She has conducted workshops at the Harris House Annex of the Atlantic Center for The Arts, Arrow Mont School of Arts and Crafts in Tennessee, and Rollins College. Donne exhibits at art festivals throughout the Southeast as well was in museums exhibitions across the country. She has had a solo exhibition at the State Capitol in Tallahassee. Her work is in the collection of the Huntsville Museum of Art, the Gulf Coast Center for the Arts, Rollins College, and Vero Beach Center for the Arts, Daytona Beach Museum of Arts and Sciences, and the Cities of Atlanta, Orlando and Melbourne. Donne has received the 2002 State of Florida's Individual Artist Fellowship and two other honorable mention recognitions from the State of Florida's Individual Artist Fellowship Program. |
